Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer who has received many awards and grants. She has worked with a variety of governments and organizations around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to child victimized by the justice system. She currently acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
