Rene Russo, born in Burbank in California on September 2, 1970 to Shirley Balocca Barmaid/factory worker and Nino Russo. The father of Rene also worked as a sculptor and technician, abandoned the family when Rene was two years old. Rene and Toni were then raised by their single mother. Her father had Italian ancestry and her mom was Italian with German-English Irish heritage. Rene's scoliosis was so severe that she needed to wear a full torso-brace at the time she was in Junior High School.
